Today’s travelers are experience-junkies. They seek out unique, authentic and local experiences that connect them to the heart and soul of the destination they are visiting. Join us for this exciting workshop to learn what you and your organization can do to create engaging, immersive experiences that will turn customers into your best brand ambassadors.
In this workshop, you will:
  • Discover the Experience Formula to impact and influence your customers’ emotional bank accounts
  • Uncover the five stages of every experience to create meaningful customer connections
  • Learn about successful models, as well as best product types, to develop new experiences for your organization.

Guest speaker Joe Veneto, aka “The Opportunity Guy,” will demonstrate what you and your organization can do to engineer Unforgettable Visitor Experiences. Joe has been working with destinations throughout the United States since 2004 to design, craft, script, and stage Unforgettable Visitors Experiences.
In addition, Janine Wachter, Director of Convention and Event Services at the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), will focus on why the GMCVB is investing in experiential tourism and development. Janine will join Joe Veneto to outline how GMCVB partners can participate in the 2018 Experiential Development project, an innovative process to assist our partners with engineering new, experiential offerings.

Innovative experiences have been designed with museums, historic sites, zoos, sports teams, restaurants and culinary venues, wineries and retail shops. In each case new experiences provide businesses with new revenue streams that drive business and create brand ambassadors.

Janine Wachter, CMP is the Director of Convention & Event Services at the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau. She is Madison's concierge for meeting, convention and event planners -- connecting them to all things local. Janine's main goal is to ensure that the event planner and the attendees have the resources they need to have an amazing experience in our destination. No request is odd or outlandish, from assisting with permits for a 5K race, to developing routes and organizing police for a parade, to sourcing 1,000 miniature State of Wisconsin flags.

In her 10+ years at the GMCVB, she’s supported major events, including the National Kidney Foundation’s U.S. Transplant Games, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Ironman Wisconsin, Epic Systems Corp. user conferences, the American Cheese Society Competition and Conference, and many others.
